Norma, From My Craft Room created this amazing tutorial and template on how to make a rounded step card. She used various shapes to show how you can modify this template. I was so excited to follow her tutorial step by step to be able to re-create it into a Silhouette Studio cutting file. Click on the words From My Craft Room to visit Norma's wonderfully creative blog for inspirations and instructions. She has one lovely blog.
The cutting file I am sharing will have two cutting files. One file is for the rounded step card and the other is for the elements I used to create the card pictured.
The big X is mounted on a wobbler ( home- made of course ); I love interactive and moving parts on a card. This card also rocks back and forth to make it even more fun.
A couple of more things about this card: The bow is a quilled bow. It's super easy to make. All you need to do is cut 5 pieces of equal lengths of paper, run them through a paper crimper, round the strips into loops and glue them together at the base of each loop. The last thing you need to do is; add the 5 loops to a small rectangular piece of card stock. You can use different elements of your choice to make this card your own. The little girl was shared with me by a friend. It's colored it with Copic markers. The back ground paper is the strawberry pattern I shared in an earlier post. I just filled the shape with the pattern I loaded into my Studio program.
The internet is such a great place to find lots of inspiration and ideas. I am so glad I found Norma's wonderful blog. I hope you enjoy making this card and adding your own special flair to it.

ReplyDeleteDebbie, bless you for mentioning my blog. Beautiful card you've created. Love the summer colours and the little girl is super cute.
ReplyDeleteI adore your 'Down by the River' card. Such a fun card. Now I'll have to add slider cards to my 'to do' list...LOL...not that the list is so long already.
Hugs,
Norma
