Krafting Kelly from the Silhouette Plus forum shared a website with all of us and made my wheels start to turn.Of course; their pieces are beyond words. They are gorgeous! Here's the link if you want to take a look at their paper masterpieces. Paper Cut Shadow Box Website
Every Easter I decorate all over the place with things I've made and love to have one very special piece. Kelly's website share made me want to try to make my very own paper shadowbox. I spent most of one night to the wee hours in the morning and rose early in the morning to get back to work on the cutting file. The first one I made I wasn't happy with and went back to the design board to make some adjustments. Once I made these adjustment; I started cutting and assembling one more time. Below are the results.
The pictures don't really show how pretty it really is in person. I just used a flashlight to light up the background and know a better light would give this piece even nicer effect. Even with the flashligh as a stand alone light it is so pretty.
I just love this piece and know the sacrifice our good Lord made for me this is nothing but this piece will show the true meaning of Easter and I'm s happy to be able to have it in our home for our Easter guests to enjoy and reflect.
P.S. I tried to take several pictures with various lighting but still couldn't capture what it really looks like.

ReplyDeleteI know this took a lot of work, planing and putting together, and apart and together again.
ReplyDeleteI totally unsderstand if the answer is no.
Would you be able to do a step by step of how you made this, cut this, and put it together.
It is truly wonderful.
I have two siblings that are pastors, and I can't think if a better Easter gift for them.
Anything you can do, or not, it's all good.

Nance
Hi Nance, making a video on how to do this would be extremely hard. It took almost two days of drawing the image panels and getting them in the correct order to acheive the effect of dimension. I have written some instruction on how to put this together and would love to share the cutting file and instructions with you. Could you please email me from the "Email Me" link on my blog page. The "Email Me" link is on the right hand side. The reason why I didn't share this file publicly to all is because of the nature of this cutting file. For me it is a labor of love for my Lord and sadly, I have had files which were taken and used to sell for profit. This cutting file is something which shouldn't be sold.It should just be shared. Emailing them out privately to those whom would like to make this "Love for the Lord" inspired project is the only way I could think of assuring the file will be used the way it should be. I am elated to know you would like to make it so please feel free to email me and I will email you the file. Blessings and hugs, Debbie
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely fabulous! Wonderful job! Congratulations!

That's a remarkable work! It's so beautiful.
ReplyDeletePossible to share with me how you do it? Thanks
Thersa, I am more than happy to share the cutting file and instructions. I had to hand draw each image panel to create this and the instructions will explain how to put it all together. If you would like for me to send you the file and instructions, please email me by clicking on the "Email Link" on the right hand side of my blog.
ReplyDeleteDebbie, I just sent a request via email. Thank you in advance!

ReplyDeleteIf you turned out the lights or brought the box into a dark place, I think you would get the desired effect!
