Bad Cuts Can Be Prevented

Many members on the Silhouette Plus forum and many emails I get are asking the question why their Silhouette Cameo cutting machines are cutting all wonky, tearing the paper, and making their crafting fun not so much fun. For most, this is an easy fix. Making sure you load your Cameo appropriately, checking your cut and page settings are important in getting a good cut. If you've checked all of these and you're still having cutting issues, changing your "Packets" could be the resolve.

This brief video will show you how to help prevent those horrible cuts that can really be frustrating. I'm sure many of you already know this but for those of you whom are new to using the Silhouette cutting machines, you'll find this information useful. Happy crating and cutting! xxx- Debbie

  2. Teena you will love your Cameo. Just be aware that playing with it can be addictive.

Debbie is an excellent teacher and I'm always learning something new from her. She is also willing to help when there are problems.

Thanks Debbie for sharing your knowledge. I'm off to prevent bad cuts by sharpening my knives. That doesn't help in the crafting world but definitely helps in the cooking world.

  3. I could not find these "advanced" settings. I have a Mac and the regular Silhouette Studio software. Is it different for either of these?

Kymala, I'm pretty sure tha Mac has the same settings for Studio software. We have several Mac users on the Silhouette Plus forum. You may want to post a question about this on the forum. We have so many wonderful members who will be happy to check into it with their Macs. I'm so sorry, I couldn't help you more.

  8. Hi Debbie (can you tell I am playing catch-up! LOL). Thanks for posting this video. I wouldn't have known where to look for the 'packets'. Can't say I really know what they are & do etc, but at least I know what to try if I start to get 'bad cuts'.
