Robert Sabuda Pop-Up Cake Cutting File

If you're not a member of the Silhouette Plus Group Forum yet; then you need to pop over there and sign up for some fun. Right now we have another challenge going on. The theme is pennants, banner, and flags. You should see some of the entries. It never ceases to amaze me what a creative, fun loving mind can come up with.

Today I share a Robert Sabuda cutting file over at the group forum. It is being shared in the In With a Buzz forum. This forum is for the Silhouette Plus group members who have been active enough to get into a password protected forum but, there are some wonderful free cutting files for the newbies too.

The picture below is a quick sample of what the pop-up cake template will look like as a card. It is so neat to open up a card and out pops candles and a cute little cake.

Cute Diaper Bassinet

You all are probably getting tired of the baby stuff. My grandaughter will be here in August. For her baby shower I wanted to make something special and cute. Along with the newborn tu-tu I made to fit on top a onesie (I forgot to take a pic ot the tu-tu....darn it) this is a picture of her diaper bassinet.

The attendees at the shower loved it. If anyone is interested in learning how to make them; please leave a comment. I'm going to work on a written turotial to share is there is enough interest. The puppy dog in the bassinet plays the sweetest music when his tail is pulled. I just LOVE!! baby stuff.

3D Design Craze

Hello my devoted followers. I'm so excited to be able to share some of my most recent endevours of designing 3D cutting files. It all started thinking about my daughters baby shower. I wanted to make cute decorations. The inspiration for the baby carriage was found on the internet.

Once I saw one of these cute carriages; I knew it could be made with the Silhouette Studio software. After the baby carriage was done; I thought highchair!and got busy designing one.

Of all things; I thought of princess. We call our girls and grandaughters princesses. Kind of corny; I know...lol. After this thought popped into my head; I got busy making my rendition ofa "Cinderella" carriage.

Okay, I'm on a 3D roll...what next! These are pretty time consuming to design but so worth it to be able to share some cute cutting files On the Silhouette Plus forum. I think next; a cradle would be oh sooo.... cute. These aren't everyone's cup of tea but they're fun to make and will come in handy for baby gift tags, gift card holders, and decorations.

Pop-Up Balloon Card Cutting File

I found this wonderful tutorial on YouTube on how to make this cute as can be pop-up balloon card. I loved it so much; I wanted to have a quick and handy cutting file so I made one today. We have lots of birthdays this month so it will come in extra handy.

First you will want to cut out the card template then bring over the balloons to do a print and cut. Make sure to duplicate the balloons so you have plenty. I mirrored the set of balloonsto us e on the back sides. I think it looks a lot nicer with the balloon shapes on both sides since they flip around
when the card is opened. * To see the inside of the card; click on the image and wait a couple of seconds.

A Dustin Pike Card

I am back home from my long stay in Texas and finally back in my craft room. This morning I decided to make my grandson a birthday card with one of Dustin Pike's cute as can be images. I just love his characters. This birthday bear was one of his freebies he gives away weekly.

I've used Copics to color most of the Dustin Pike digis but this time I decided to try out my wonerful Prisma colored pencils. Photography is not my forte so the camera seems to have robbed some of the vibrancy of the colors and the clouds also disappeared. It is a vibrant colorful piece when seen in person. Of course, it may be the acetate I added to make it look like a framed picture. This little card is dimensional and looks as though it is behind a glass frame.

What is a birthday card without a party favor? I rolled up a piece of the red scrap paper I had after cutting it out with the Silhouette then, used some of the orange scrap paper to make the finge coming out of the party blower.

Here is the Dustin Pike Birthday Bear card I wanted to share with all of you who pop in on my blog. Thanks for coming by for a visit. Don't forget; our group over at the Silhouette Plus Group Forum who would love to have you join up and participate in some shares and fun.
