For the Valentines

I can't believe the New Year is just two days away and I'm already thinking Valentines day. This is my version of a Valentine post card. It's really simple and fast to make so you can quickly make a lot of them for all of the Valentines in your life.

The tiny bows is what took me the longest to make. You can use any sort of embellishment you would like but, I did include the tiny bows in the cutting files. The cutting files are in .svg, .dxf, and of course Studio.

You can download the zipped cutting files here.

  3. Hi Debbie. I am new to the Silhouette and have a question. I purchased an SVG file from SVG.com and when you send it to the Silhouette it says no cut lines. It has the perforated lines to fold on. Do I always have to trace first? But then when I do that and say trace outer edge I get no perforated lines. When I say the other I get a double line around the whole item? What am I doing wrong?

  4. Hello Craft Me This,

I received your post on my blog. I’m writing to try to answer you questions about .svg files. You never have to trace anything with an .svg file. If you are able to open it then you’ll just need to go to the “Cut Style Settings” (it’s the icon which looks like a dart but it’s suppose to be a pair of scissors...lol) Here is where you can choose the cut style. If your perforated lines still show up as regular cut lines, you may have to ungroup the cutting file, select the line you want to be perforated, then go to “Line Style Window” and choose one of the perforated lines or stay in the “Cut Style Window” and choose perforate. I like to use the “Line Style Window” . I think it’s a finer perforation.

If you ever have any questions, please feel free to email me. I’ll have to make a video tutorial about this, many have questions about .svg files.

Have a blessing filled day and Happy New Year,
    Debbie

P.S. I also sent you an email

  12. Thank you so much for the Valentine cutting files. I know they will get lots of use. Love your Valentine and I think it is cheaper to mail them than regular cards. As long as they are a certain size.

Wishing you a Happy New Year full of wonderful things!

  15. Debbie I love everything you do, but you email on this website doesn't work for me. I was wondering if you could go step by step how someone goes about downloading files on a blog. I'm very new to this and want to start offering files for people, but have no idea how to start that process. Thank You.
